Weekly update...

Hines is now 36.4lbs at 14 weeks :) He is sooooo full of life and personality!! Just a doll!


After his first time in a big pool :) He was a good swimmer but Im not sure he liked it very much!

Flashback...

So our lil Hines is getting SO BIG SO FAST!! I wanted to share this little video of when we first got him. Just 5 and a half weeks ago! :)


I just LOVE that little head tilt!!! He is just the SWEETEST thing!! Since I was off tonight we went to the Brewery to socialize. I grabbed this shot on the way. Hines is big enough to see out the window in the hummer!! :) He was able to visit with my hooping buddies for a while. He just loves those girls!

Hines is a mommy's boy! Not that he has a choice! LOL But he just LOVES his Momma A!! He follows her everywhere :)

And of course I have to throw in this shot :) He is so full of personality!!

13 weeks - 34.3lbs

Hines had his first puppy manners class this week. He was the star of the class!! :) There was a huge not so calm pit bull in the class causing a scene and Hines just sat and stayed calm. Barely even paid any attention to him!! Must be the aggressive tendencies that Dr. Spier saw in him (rolling my eyes). Although I have to admit the pit made me a little nervous. I was deciding in my head the whole time which limb I would sacrifice to protect Hines if he got loose. LOL We worked on the "watch me" command this week. Andrea (our trainer) used Hines as the example for the class and he did not disappoint! He held the command for 5 seconds already!! :) YAY HINES!! We are so proud of our boy!! So our homework for the week was to give Hines 3 new experiences before next weeks class. We didn't waste any time getting started. We took Hines to Pet Smart for a bit and then went and had lunch at Jolli Mons :) He did soooo good!! We practiced our new command and he did very well even with all the distractions of the busy patio.

Thats it! We weighted Hines for his weekly weigh in on Monday and he has hit 30 lbs! He is turning into a beast! :)

He went to see Dr. Todd today for his neuter. He did GREAT!!! The procedure didn't take but about 20 mins and Dr. Todd said it was completely routine :) Yay!! Hines wouldn't know any difference. He is running all over wanting to play and eat everything in sight :) Only thing is that he has to wear a silly cone on his head cause he thought it would be a good idea to lick on his incision. He looks so cute in it though!



We were initially told that he would have to spend the night to be "monitored". However, since we were told at drop off that no one would be with him to actually monitor him for 13 hrs, we decided that it was in his best interest for us to bring him home. That being said, Hines (and his mommies) would like to extend a VERY SPECIAL THANKS to his Auntie Jenn!!! She picked him up from Dr. Todd while his mommies were at work and in Sarasota! She is a very special friend and we LOVE HER DEARLY!!! THANK YOU AUNTIE JENN!!


Aren't they adorable?!?! Also Hines has learned a new trick this week. He can High 5!!! And not even the silly cone will stop him LOL

Hines gone swimmin'

We got Hines a pool today! We figured he loves playing in his water bowl so much that he needed one :) He just loves it!! It took a little coaxing by Amy at first. With him being her little shadow he just followed her right in. Now he is in and out on his own splashing about!! Of course Lei and Lou want nothing to do with it (they are no fun lol) But he is just too cute for words so here are some pics and clips :)

Now he is just dirty dirty dirty cause he went straight out and rolled in the sand and leaves after. Ha Ha! Isn't he just adorable?!?!

Weekend Update...

Hines didn't go for his neuter on Wednesday. He has an infection in his boy parts that we had to put him on antibiotics for first. With his high risk for infection Dr. Todd thought it best to get a weeks worth of antibiotics on board prior to the snip snip. So it has been rescheduled for next Thursday. Im glad it has been rescheduled cause this way Amy won't have to be at work while he is under. And hopefully we will be able to see him before she leaves for work. :)

Other than that things are going well! Hines is playful as ever and is REALLY trying to get Lou and Lei to lighten up a bit :) Its funny to watch him teasing them and trying to coax them into playing. Poor guy just wants a friend to play with. We just need to get another corso for him!!! HAHA!! :) I WISH!! LOL Cant wait to take him to puppy play time today. He needs it!

Our walks are going well :) I lost my mind the other day and decided to walk all 3 by myself! It started a little chaotic but about a block down the trail they fell into their groove. I make them sit and stay at all the intersections. I even had a biker ride by and say "what well mannered pups you have there!". :) I was sooooo proud of them! The schnauzers just LOVE their walks!! Hines needs a little coaxing sometimes but with the schnauzers around he does better :) He LOVES them even though they are buttheads LOL. Our walks have become my favorite part of our day :)

11 WEEKS - 27.1 LBS!

Hines is getting sooo big!!! He has gained a whoppin' 4 lbs this week!! YAY!!! He is doing so good with his leash walking! This weekend we were able to get the whole family out for a walk!! We had so much fun! His is really good about walking beside or behind us. It only takes a teeny correction sometimes to remind him :) We are so proud of him!!

Hines was a hit at his first puppy play class! :) But BEWARE! He is a VICIOUS BEAST!! Let me tell ya! Good thing he is getting neutered next week!! LOL

Prayers for Strayer...

Strayer is one of Hines' cousins from up in Vermont. He is another beautiful Corso! Strayer hurt his leg while playing out in the field the last night. Their vet put him on pain meds for now but if it doesn't get better he says it may be a fracture or a torn ligament :(. Keep him in your prayers as well!! :) He is a beautiful BEAST!! I just LOVE it when he sits on the futon like a human lol... WE LOVE YOU STRAYER!!!
